Play Ball!
Hello! Welcome to my blog page! These little entries are just a fun, quick read, where you can get to know me as a person and what's going on in my head. A lot of the time, I write about my life as a sports parent, also known to many as a "baseball mom." But other mamas of other sports totally get it too. The struggle is real. And while we would move mountains for our children, it is pretty funny the stuff that goes on at their games, and at practice and home when it comes to our family and our kid's sports teams. When I say the "struggle is real," I mean the struggle to make it through a week with clean uniforms, the RIGHT uniforms, getting to the right baseball fields on time, packing the right amount of snacks, water and sunscreen to last an entire tournament, the right (and wrong) amount of yelling at their games, and so much more. Between my three boys, I have been living and breathing youth sports for nearly a decade now. Some of it is stressful, some is comical, but all of it has been memorable. Hopefully you will be able to relate to it on some level, if you played sports growing up, if you have children who now play, or if you are just a sports fan in general. Other than youth baseball, you might see me write about running, which has been my sport and passion for over 30 years. It is what makes me happy and has kept me happy all these years. You might also see some funny and sweet passages about my precious time of five years as a school nurse in an elementary school, and all the people who have made an impact on my life. We write about what we know, and what has shaped us as humans, right? Every day and every experience we have in life helps form who we are and influences our journey. So why not write about it! I hope you enjoy learning about me through this blog!
